Tournus vibes 🌟
The parking was super lekker, just across the road, and the lady at reception was like a chommie who helped me with my French—sharp-sharp! brekkie was simple with fresh croissants, so that was a bonus!
Had some noise from the traffic outside, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker, really.

I enjoyed my stay at this spot where I had a nice big room with an ensuite bathroom at a reasonable price while being just a short walk from the stunning Abbaye Saint-Philibert and several delightful restaurants for dinner, making my city strolls all the more enjoyable and convenient.

The room I stayed in was spacious and exceptionally clean. The free parking across the street was a real convenience. It was nice to find a coffee machine with various styles of coffee available during breakfast. The breakfast itself featured fresh croissants and juice, though it felt a bit standard and could have had more variety. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially at check-in, making recommendations for nearby dining. I did notice some traffic noise from the busy road outside, which might affect light sleepers. the location was great for exploring Tournus, with the abbey just a short walk away.

While the affordable rates are attractive, the place is showing its age, especially with old carpets needing a refresh. There’s no elevator, which can be a hassle on the upper floors, and the noise from the main road could bother light sleepers. Breakfast was decent but a bit run-of-the-mill, lacking in variety. the shared balcony setup with another room feels awkward and diminishes privacy.
